About the Impeach Zohran Mamdani Initiative

The Impeach Zohran Mamdani initiative is a grassroots coalition made up of community leaders, policy experts, faith-based organizations, and concerned voters who believe that transparency and accountability are critical for our city government.

Following Zohran Mamdani’s surprising win in the June 24, 2025 Democratic primary against a former governor, our group has monitored his policy proposals and public statements. As of July 2025, over 85,000 petition signatures have been collected in under three weeks, reflecting widespread questions about certain campaign promises and rhetoric.

Key Concerns

• Unfunded Programs: Commitments to free mass transit, rent caps, and city-run grocery stores lack concrete financing plans.
• National Security Questions: Statements on international issues have drawn federal scrutiny and raised public safety debates.
• Governance Experience: Critics point to limited executive track record and call for more oversight in legislative actions.
